Following! Mine is in word now because my InDesign version never got through any online submission screening. More important tends to be the words you use - is it action oriented and results-driven? Do you have stats on impact to back up your claims? I have a website with sample work. That's where things are pretty and nicely designed.. it is hard to know what's right to do these days.
I used one from a resume designer website because attempting to 'design' something in word breaks my brain. Paid for a one month subscription. Downloaded in word then cancelled the membership. Been using it ever since. You can't cram nearly as much info on it, so each word really needs to matter. It's hyper-linked to shit in terms of sample work tho.

It has to get through the computers - use Word and then put it through an online resume checker
You could totally be right about using word but i did my husband’s resume in Indesign and he gets SO many job opportunities it’s crazy. He is in sales so it’s probably different (more opportunities out there) but something about that damn resume is really working (even as a PDF from indesign).

Both. I have a text only made for ATS if I’m applying into a black hole. If I know it will be seen by a human, then I send the pretty designed PDF.
This makes sense to me so then it’s literally on word and in arial? lol
