Pretty new here! Great news ..JOB offer …however the company is lowballing salary ..I informed recruiter Amount was not acceptable …sent off the salary requirement letter …. Nail biting ..Why waste my time again …she didn’t know the budget… so we proceeded forward, her reply ..advised me to talk w hiring team but in final interview there was no opportunity to speak abt salary w hiring team ….Have to say I enjoy the posts & it’s a decent networking site!!

Any particular segment of sales good for ex-finance? Currently 3 years in at fortune 100 bank on business development side (on commercial loan originations team but no commission/targets at the associate level, basically do credit analysis and build pitch books for the producers) This role has been great as I have gotten both analytical experience and tasted sales experience (I say taste bc I’m not the producer) but would potentially like to transition to a sales role that is less analytical

I’ve been at a job for a few months and hate it - partners set unrealistic deadlines, micromanage, and create work that truly is not necessary/push urgency when there is no real urgency. Any advice on how to request a 20% raise? This is my first career out of college. I signed my offer letter knowing that I was being underpaid by 10%, as per the posted position salary. My 1-year appraisal is close and I would like to request 20% based on an increased workload; I would also like to make up for being underpaid my first year.

My dilemma: Many companies only pay up to a 4% raise. However, that will not cover much in this economy, and I would still be still underpaid.

Is HSBC or Credit Suisse or for matter of fact, any account in EY is asking EY employees to work from office or to work in hybrid manner. Any account in EY which offers permanent WFH?

This company wants me to develop a growth strategy that outlines key initiatives for growth, different opportunities, experiments I’d run, KPIs, and working cross-functionally.

I interviewed with a company last week and the interviewer said he would submit my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back this Monday from HR on next steps/if they want to move forward. I didn’t hear back yesterday so I emailed HR and she said she wasn’t part of the hiring decision so would reach out to the initial interviewer for his feedback. I haven’t heard from her and it’s been 24 hours - starting to get worried. What should I do? Does this mean they’re not interested?

So I have been made an offer by a company I like but it’s pretty similar to my current package (I also like where I am). The recruiter is pretty intense and is pitting me against another candidate but says I’m the number one choice and is asking me for a number to say yes “but not too high or the team will look at the other candidate”
I’m close to send them to get stuffed. I’m also awaiting a promo and interview feedback from Google. Any advice?
