Find a firm looking for your practice area and then have a conversation about what your role should look like.
That recruiter doesn’t know what they’re talking about. We currently have 10+ year attorneys who are 40+ years old as senior associates on our team. Firms will take more seasoned associates if they like you and there’s demand for your skillset. Whether you’re “too senior” is entirely a case by case determination by each firm you’re targeting.
