I've been working in my position for about 5 years, making 75k. Is this about average, or should I be making more at this point? Thanks!

Generally based on company budgeting, cost of living, and general responsibilities for the role (dependant on size of the company).

like

Definitely on the lower end of salaries.
You should be closer to 100k or above as a Director if working for a mid sized company with 3k plus employees.
If you are working for a startup or a small scale company with less than 500 employees then you should be closer to 90k based on averages seen.

helpfullike

Thanks so much, this is encouraging! It's a mid-size company.

As a manager I’m making more than 75. I think it is about time you start talking to people in your org for a considerable raise or start looking.

likehelpful

Thanks! That's kind of what I've been thinking lately. It just doesn't feel like what I deserve to be making.

like

As a Director, yes. Then again, I don’t know the size of the company and what their budget allows.

like

I think it should be more. Entry-level supply chain manager is at 75k.

like

This is in Pennsylvania/Maryland. If you're director level or senior manager level, I think you should earn atleast 95k.

How much experience do you have overall in logistics? If your total experience is 5 years of increased responsibility with the same company, then maybe $75k is about right. Otherwise, it sounds like your underpaid for a Director level role.

like

This has been my only position so far in logistics.

Where are you located? Director's salary depends on so many factors. Primary factors are size of the company, location and years of experience. My friend is earning $92k as a director for 4 years.
