Current CTC 20 fixed. YoE 11.
An offer HSBC is in pipeline ( 28 fixed as per Recruitment consultant). Position offered is Senior consultant specialist.
However I know that there is scope of pushing the offer till 36. Any inputs on getting the offer to desired figure would be helpful.

I interviewed for a role with the Enterprise Risk Team at EY. I told them my salary requirements were $105 k before the interview. They said it should be ok if I'm brought in as a Senior 1. After the interview, they said they want to bring me in as a Staff2 at $84k with $3k signing bonus. I'm trying to get on a call to negotiate further...do these numbers sound right to you all?

Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. I am defending an eviction for a client who has given possession of the property (as of Nov. 30). Plaintiff’s complaint has one claim – possession. They did request relief for attorney’s fees. NJT/Final Hearing commenced 10/27, was only 30 min and was therefore continued to 12/20. Plaintiff had counsel at that time but they are no longer represented.  I want to file something notifying Court that Plaintiff claim is now moot, making sure that judgment is not entered that hurts (cont'd)..

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

What are your thoughts on invoking the rule of sequestration at a deposition in a case in state court? I have heard some attorneys argue that it is inapplicable, while others have argued that it does apply.

Tampa lawyers who work downtown: where do you live? Looking to purchase a house soon and am trying to decide between a low commute time (crappier house and a tight move financially) and a longer commute time (nicer house and more comfortable financially). The longer commute time also comes with better public schools, and I want to have kids.

How confident were you that you landed a job after the second interview? My friends tell me the fact that I had a second interview is pretty much a guarantee that I will be selected. I am not so sure. So I thought I would check with the fish bowl.
