I’ve noticed I can solve pretty complex problems, but when it’s time to explain my thinking in a meeting, my mind goes blank. I’ll have the analysis done, the logic mapped out, and the solution working, yet articulating it clearly and confidently is the hardest part. It’s frustrating because it can make you seem less capable than you actually are. Does anyone else struggle more with explaining ideas than doing the work itself, and what’s helped you get better at it?

I have a deadline to respond to a Motion for SMJ in 1 1/2 weeks. I just found out that my grandparents who I haven’t seen since the start of the pandemic will visit this week. I want to spend as much time as possible with them but it will be hard with my response due. I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company.
