I’ve noticed some roles reappear every few months with slightly different titles, but the job description is basically the same. I interviewed for one last year, passed on it, and now it’s back again as a new listing. Makes me wonder if they’re just churning through people. Still, the comp is decent and I’m in between jobs. Would you apply again or take the hint?

If it’s a big enough company, it could be the same role within another team. My company probably has hundreds of almost identical roles.

Keep applying. It could be for different roles, which would be my guess if the requirements seem modified with each job listing.

We’re having a baby coming this end of August. KPMG has 12 weeks parental leave. Planning to take 4 weeks in September but I can’t seem to figure out when to use 8 more weeks. I’m so tempted to do Feb-March (peak busy season for our client) but I feel completely bad cause I actually like this client/team and I know how a lot of test work is done. (Senior A.) Can I suggest to my manager that rather than taking leave, to schedule me only 40 hours during these times? Would that be unfair to others?

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?
