I’ve recently been promoted to a managerial role and we are expanding our very small team and I will be doing the first interview as a hiring manager. Are there any questions that you like to ask during interviews? Are there any questions you wish you did ask? On the other side, did you feel like there are any questions you wish were asked or not asked when you were going through the interview process? Any input is much appreciated.

I applied for a job at Embark about a week ago - should I be worried that I haven't heard back? How long does it usually take to hear back from a company after applying online? It's been a while since my last job search and I don't want to get too worked up after only a week if I don't need to.

How do you recruit for startups? Exhausted from lack of responses from cold networking. What else should I do? I am aiming for roles in early stage startups. Didn’t study or work for long in US so don’t have a strong network.

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive.
