I was also a paper person and every electronic method I tried always failed because it just didn’t click right.
Now I use an iPad and an Apple Pencil to take notes and make my lists in OneNote. My OneNote syncs with my computer so I have everything available for quick reference that way too. It’s been the best of both worlds for me
Does OneNote have the text conversion feature when you’re using your Apple Pencil?
Current method is a “free” calendar item with my entire to do list. I move it to the end of each week and it’s just a rolling list of reminders listed out by client. Red or highlighted are more urgent.
I use OneNote. I create separate “notebooks” for each client and include meeting notes, to dos, and any additional information by area, etc. They have these great little check boxes you can add as a bullet.
I used one note didn't know about the check box...I just cross them over

I’m the same - personally have only found success with Notes in Google Keep! There’s an app so you can access from your phone, too which is helpful
Try Planner in Microsoft, esp if you like Google Keep! Benefit is you can easily filter to view priority items, due dates, etc, and can link in the related docs that are associated with the task.
