Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months.It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup.In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much.But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

You need to try and get on BD shape and sell work as an SM you are expected to create opportunities for you to work on.
What role, what skills, where, are you talking with your PL and asking them, are you talking with your manager or practice lead, I spent 3 months with a similar situation 5 years ago but once I got on something I’ve been fortunately busy since.

Are you in S&C or a tech BSG?
Get involved in BD/origination and sell some work.
How was the probation conversation? I’m on the same boat but 3 months in and not chargeable. Hoping the NY provides more opportunities.
Pick a couple of MD's in your area or who you trust and ask to shadow/help.
Agree w above, find out who is doing pre-sales and sales in your area and become their best friend. Do the slide prep, the solutioning, the extra pair of hands on strategic deals and that will get you connected to the account teams to be placed in a Role.
Also, who is doing the brilliant basics (skut work) for your practice, charge ability, sales pipeline management, training / furlough planning, etc and contact them and say “can I take something off your plate, it will help me learn how the firm operates”
Check out the role based AI training and do them, you have the time people on client site don’t so upskill on the direction we are going.
The firm has clear training paths whether you are in S&C, Sales, Delivery Lead, Architecture etc. Bring that knowledge into your pre sales conversations- what would it look like if we created an agent/included this AI tool etc
