I cannot speak for other fine dining establishments, but at my restaurant, the general manager is paid a salary that begins at $75,000 annually. Additionally, they may earn bonuses and commissions based on the restaurant's profits.
I'm not sure what the average salary is for an AGM in fine dining, but I would expect it to be quite a bit higher than what I make. I'm a server and make around $10/hour plus tips. I'm guessing that an AGM would make somewhere in the range of $25-30/hour plus tips.
Im not an Assistant GM by title , Assistant Manager technically, and I’m currently at 80K plus maybe 15K in bonuses and other benefits.
