Any data points on expected comp for a Salesforce Senior Manager - Project Manager position?

Has anyone had a comp plan change 5 months into the year and be retroactive and have a serious impact on earning potential while doubling quota? Am a rep who generates a significant Percentage of overall revenue for a series C company. They’ve also add a windfall clause which is pretty subjective. Any advice?

I am an IT architect with 10 years of experience specifically in Salesforce products. I am thinking of moving from a strategy consulting role to an architecture role in Salesforce (company) itself. I have experience building tech strategies and also technical project delivery.
