Just beginning my career in federal consulting and im curious about how M&A works in this space. Can companies sell their awarded contracts/task orders? Or if a firm is acquired do their contracts automatically become absorbed by the acquirer? Given the new administration and changes made to Set aside contracts im surprised there’s not more consolidation with large firms acquiring small firms who rely on this kind of work.

Ok, after an HR screening (and salary requirements) I had 3 interviews. Then HR calls for references and to be “reminded” of salary requirements. All 3 references now contacted. Will I get an offer?

But I also have offers from Deloitte and EY to be a GPS consultant at ~100k. Is it worth it to move to D or EY? Have personal financial goals that i need to reach for my family and thats why i started considering EY and D.
