I love that!! In French, it's: "Il pleut des cordes". The back translation is "it's raining ropes" 😄
In Greek, we use «Βρέχει καρεκλοπόδαρα». It means "It’s raining chair legs" in English!
In Portuguese, it's "está chovendo canivetes", literally, "it's raining knives". Even more painful! 😂 😂
In Italian, we say: Piove a catinelle (It’s raining buckets).

In Dutch: it’s “Raining pipe stems”. I had to look up whence it can from. The smoking pipes of old had long straight stems. So the rain world come down as long straight pipes of rain.
