HCB layoffs on the horizon
Hi All, I have received ctc details from Tata Consultancy about 4 weeks back for SAP IBP position at C3B level, however still waiting for offer letter. Any idea how long it could take ? Also, what are the chances tbat i will get an offer letter although delayed, are there cases where offer letter is not issued for internal reasons?

LA is massive. Are you familiar with the different areas/neighborhoods? Tough to provide recs without specifics
Proximity to workplace is a big factor too or what you want to be by if you are fully remote
We’re close to the ocean so pollution isn’t as noticeable here. Just one of the factors to balance against your other desired features etc

Apartments with views means either something in a high rise (not a lot of these, and very expensive), located up in the hills (effectively nonexistent), or along the beach (again, most likely expensive).
Figure you’re going to rent 2.5-3K for a decent 2 bedroom. 3-4K if you want it to also have a view. Mortgages are going to push 4K for even entry-level condos (not a lot of inventory and co-ops don’t exist here). The buying market is totally distorted here right now.
I feel like 2.5-3k is the going rate for a 1 bedroom on the west side with no views. I doubt you could get anything with ocean views for under 5k and even that may a stretch. There aren’t a lot of high rises in Santa Monica or Venice. Maybe you could find something with views in MDR for cheaper but then you’re in MDR.
I think if u want a nice apartment you are in the 5K range for a 2 bedroom.
Correct, I have no amenities and it’s a smaller condo style building. So I only pay 5k.
