I'm sorry to hear that, that's an awful situation. Good question about what's happening. It seems like a lot of companies have been mismanaged and will be shutting down locations. Anyway, let's hope you find another position soon and it lasts as long as you want it to.
I am so sorry to hear that. The job market and economy are so rough right now. Hang in there and keep applying.
One problem is, retail has been oversaturated for like 20+ years. Competition is cut throat, and some of the biggest names in retail have gone away, Look at it this way, if you're out of work due to closure, you've done nothing wrong, and should be able to collect unemployment (which is better than nothing)

I am so sorry that happened to you. It is really unstable right now everywhere in the job market. Keep your hopes high and something would come up.
I’m sorry to hear that. A lot of people are struggling to keep their business open. Certain companies I have worked for has been canceling their order because they don’t have the money to keep the business open.
Why do people throw up their hands questioning what is happening in this world when those people that say such things don't vote, don't see where they spend their money has an influence about why our local businesses are shuttering ....none of this is new it's just increasingly exasperated.
Take responsibility as we all should in our positions within the cog. Even the choices of what you eat and where you buy your food will have an affect on your life as well as health. It's all interconnected.
