Left a hybrid situation (industry) for a PA job because yes, I was that desperate.

But, it's fully remote and for the first time, I've had to timesheet myself. I've done PA before but on retainer so it was just "get client's stuff done" and that's it.

But I hate it lol. I feel like I need to be productive all hours of the day. As a lazy human, I like that it keeps me accountable, but I also feel like I can't breath 😅

Yeah if you don't have a signed engagement letter then you can't begin working on them technically

What’s your current role in PA ? But yes that’s the feeling ! You need to track everything you do and submit timesheet timely otherwise it can impact your performance year end.

I am just a mere associate haha. But the plan is to push me to senior in a year or two so that we can bring in another associate. Manager is very sweet though.

I started to track everything I do on paper in case...anyone ever asks me wtf I billed for and they're not satisfied enough with the memo. However, I think, once I'm given more work, I'm bound to hit OT (give me one person who doesn't push OT that's in PA) so I'm sure I won't run out of billable hours down the road.

Right now, it's freaky that everything is going to admin because...I have no clients. My utilization is beneath the ground lol.

I’m interviewing for a hybrid position because I’m tired of 100% remote haha! I guess the grass will always be greener on the other side. For me, I’ve noticed that it’s hard to stay motivated and productive on a fully remote job and I do want to progress in my career so I don’t want to get in the habit of slacking or doing the bare minimum which if I’m being objective, I can already see myself start to go down that path

My life went way off the rails in my early 20s but I reigned myself in somehow. I resent my younger self so much.

It's super frustrating to be "time poor".

That's seemingly just the nature of working in Biglaw.

But every day you have the option to buy back your time.

How do you buy back time?

It's simple—by saving and investing.

And you don't need to be uber wealthy to regain control of your time.

Consider this…
