Hi Linda! As a former recruiter, what qualities made you think, "This person is a top candidate"? Interested to hear your thoughts.
Is not having a profile/summary a red flag? I go straight into my professional exp after my name and whatnot
Hey Linda! Networking has always been uncomfortable for me. I can make small talk, but it feels surface-level and I walk away not knowing if I made a real connection. How can introverts build meaningful professional relationships without it feeling forced?
I totally understand as I’m a big introvert and do not enjoy small talk myself! But a trick I’ve learned is go in with the intention of expressing genuine curiosity about that person. As introverts we are wired to listen more than speak so use this to your advantage and simply ask, listen, make a comment related to what they’re saying from your life, and feel your way through navigating the conversation. That’s really all you can do and afterwards follow up saying it was nice meeting you and let it be!
Hi, thanks for doing this Linda.
I’ve been unemployed since July and would really want a job paying at least 78,000 but 80,000 would be nice. I’ve been looking at jobs that are lower paid as well since there’s been some ebb and flow with leave management opportunities. Would you suggest holding out for a higher paying position or going for all leave roles no matter the pay to get my foot in the door? Thanks
Go for what you can get now but keep looking even in the new job. Candidates are always more desirable when employed than not.
That’s a wrap! 😃 Thank you so much for joining today’s AMA and for all your thoughtful questions! I really enjoyed connecting with you and having these conversations. 🙌
If there’s one thing I want you to take away, it’s this: clarity doesn’t come from chasing every opportunity out there—it comes from turning inward and getting honest about what feels right for you. When you start there, everything else begins to align.

Love this, Linda! Super excited to learn tips on owning my value without feeling like I have to be loud can’t wait to try some of your strategies in real work situations.
I will like you to help me. I know I am good at my job but struggle a lot with confidence and it is starting to make people see me as less capable
How about all 3?
To balance work and life with ease - it's to determine what are your priorities and to set time limits on yourself. i.e. "I'm going to give myself X amount of time to do this task, after that, I have to move on." And it's not a perfect science - to be honest I'm in the middle of my book launch right now, for The Quiet Achiever, and it's been hectic! But once things go back to "normal" I will intentionally create my days to be exactly how I want, and if you can be intentional with your time - that's the place to start!
Adorable picture !!!

I like the idea of career confidence. That’s something I’ve always struggled with. Imposter syndrome has been big in my life and something I talked to a few therapists about. It’s been a challenge so this is an intriguing post.
I want talk with you
Hello Linda. Im Rom. I bought your book the quiet achiever. Love your insights and inputs about it. What you written about your book is true. The fear that make me stay in the same place keeps me away from my hidden potential to unleash the growth that's inside me. My passion is to be in sales and Marketing but sad to say I was not in that field nowadays. Im afraid it might not work out, im afraid the end result will not get my expectations. Lots of fear that inside my heart. But yeah. I must battle this fear of comfort zone and challenge the unknown path that possibly lead me to satisfaction towards my work.
