How do you stop obsessing over a new romance?

In my 30s and have dated a lot. I've done casual flings, had a couple serious LTRs, been deeply in love, and had a lot of meaningless, purely physical hookups in my day.

Through all of these, my attachment style has always been secure as a fully realized person. I never needed someone to make me feel whole.

This new woman is completely intoxicating. She was clear: purely casual. It makes me want what I can't have, something more serious with her.

I’m a closeted no book reader. I’ve maybe read 5 books over the last 10 years… My teams over the years are always talking about all the books they read and providing recommendations, but luckily people tend to be more interested in sharing what they read rather than listening so I’ve made it this far. I’m worried I’ll be discovered one day

Genuine question - why do people slide into DMs on here? Why would you spend time trying to get to know someone when there’s like a 1% chance you’re in the same geographical area and would have mutual interest in each other? Is it not better to spend your time on tinder or bumble to find people that are guaranteed to be nearby if you’re bored?

I impulsively spent $400 on concert tickets before I left my last job. Now I’m entering my third month at a new job and I’m worried it’s too early to take off to go. At the very least I would have to sign off an hour or two early to be able to make it on time. But I feel awkward asking because generally I wouldn’t take off this early. For context, I have unlimited PTO.
