Tough to say. That is quite a ways away from now. Generally engineering jobs are stable but inflation is up, hiring is down, and there is no way to predict what the administration will do next.
Not to get political but have you seen the jobs report over the last few months? That is what you are in for. Also folks that got RIF'd are having a hard time finding jobs
A bunch of younger engineers I know are having challenges if they are picky. A few firms I talk to haven't circled the wagons on hiring, but are trying to figure out how tariffs will affect their materials costs, where they can deploy their products, and how the market will support their business if their clients can't / won't make capital investments. First roles behind delayed/cut right now are surprisingly first-year / early-career.
