Ik this makes me a huge POS but I feel like I’m going crazy. I love animals, always have. I used to volunteer at shelters, dog sit for friends, even have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I’m not in the ED or inpatient floors. My region hasn’t been hit as bad as others—nothing like NYC. No one directly close to me personally has died of COVID. Yet I feel drained, mentally exhausted. But it feels weak and unjustified to admit it compared to what so many others have experienced.

Question, I have visited with a ENT and a neurosurgeon. I have a problem with a phantom smell in my nose that comes and goes almost daily. I can also taste it in my mouth. It is very hard to explain, and I can’t seem to get any answers. Does anyone have any advice or thoughts about what could be causing this and what steps I should take to resolve this issue?
