Collins Aerospace Looking to apply to a Senior Analyst position that requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. I'm wondering 1) Approximately how long might it take to obtain the security clearance required for a Senior Analyst position, and 2) If they allow you to start working as you wait for the clearance to come through?

General corporate in NY looking to lateral into tech transactions at one of the EC/VC firms. I’ve heard that I may get a class cut if I make the move but I’m ok with that. My worry is that EC/VC firms are crazy busy work differently from general corp, I also won’t have control over my hours, and potentially worse based on how billing differs (block billing on a few clients vs having to work with 15 or more startups). Is the same true for tech trans or IP group?

Other than Gibson Dunn, which V20ish firms have strong employment practices?

Are there any good movies or novels that show skill development - like follow through? Self-management? Money management? Is CMA worth getting after getting the CPA? Or is it better to get the CFA. Also don’t have much finance background so I don’t know if I can pass the CFA will require a lot of hard work. Interesting in hearing people’s thoughts.
