Looking to do a golf trip to SC/NC in the fall. Obviously some big name courses there but I'm not interested in spending 300-400$ per round at places like Kiawah. Around Myrtle Beach seems like good golf, and then potentially up to the area around Pinehurst (Tobacco Road golf course is one that I might actually splurge for). Does anyone have good value for money recommendations in that area? Courses to completely avoid? Thank you!

Woman here, question to men golfers:
I often get teamed up with male golfers as not many ladies play in my area. I feel like they feel awkward (cause they get silent around me, only saying good shot when I make a good shot) and so I start feeling awkward too, and it negatively impacts my game. Is it just in my head?
