First day back in industry! Wish me luck! ❤️
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Four years at SC is not bad nor uncommon.
Your options to stay and play are limited. Either you ask for feedback and support to go up for M this year, try to find another project and gain their support to go up, or you leave the firm.

They don’t think you’re very good and the market is shit…what leverage do you have, bud?
I’d ask for very tangible, measurable targets to hit to be “manager-ready”. Now, I’ve also seen people who were never going to be managers - just not in their make-up. Some stayed at SA for years. Some left. Some got promoted (think COVID), and then flamed out and got fired because… they weren’t managers

Once they sit you down to break what news?
Not sure what you think you could ask for, with the current economy they’ll probably just tell you to leave if you say you don’t want to be 4th year senior. I’m also probably not getting promoted after 3 years at SA. While it sucks, I recognize I have areas where I need to grow in still. Also this isn’t COVID anymore and at least at my firm the manager level is kind of over saturated. Don’t shoot your self in the foot
