Looks like my firm is neither promoting me to M nor applying up or out on me. I’m pretty decent at this job but I don’t think I want do a fourth year at this level. How should I approach the discussion once they sit me down to break the news? Can I ask for anything? Any advice would be helpful.

Anyone leave before their bonus (before knowing what the amount was) and then regret it when it turned out to be a huge bonus? Got a great offer that I want to take but feeling FOMO by leaving the bonus on the table.

And yes, I tried moving the start date and asking them to cover the lost bonus but they said no and it’s still a better offer and it would be irresponsible not to take it.
