Hi guys ,
I am in a US project in Accenture. We have long calls in the night timings. My other teammate has backed out saying she won't attend any calls as she got some medical condition so she won't attend long calls which extend till 9:30.Other teammate is a junior. The managers are expecting me to join all the calls. No help I am getting. And they all being Tamil, I think some partiality is going on between them.Even our onsite lead is of no use.She expects me to attend long calls.
What should I do .pls suggest?

Consistent normal work hours
I haven’t done implementation at mck but I was at big 4 before and it was so chill there but also got boring

You actually get shit done with tangible benefits for the client. Better exit opps if you’re in tech especially.
1. Tend to have better wlb
2. Networking with clients for exit ops
3. Good way to build expertise on a program/software/methodology

Sense of satisfaction when it’s complete and watching your work being used my hundreds of people.
Also WLB is amazing
Meeting util targets easier
I think at younger age it’s helpful to really get a sense of how a Business works and gain a lot of soft skills.
Strategy tends to be building a deck, using excel, and taking notes when young. Obviously as you get more experienced you start driving the thinking, but takes time.
When things get busy you just say “put it on the backlog” and you work normal

Not the project I was on! I joined for a break and had bad WLB
Depends on the project for sure but for me...
- Gaining in depth knowledge of how the company/industry operates
- broad range of interaction, from upper upper management to “on the ground” folks
- forced to learn to deal with competing priorities and dependencies
- looking at strategic objectives and determining how to help achieve them within the tools you have available
I would not say my WLB is good though.
And yes you may learn a software but that’s not the important part to me. Process > System
And building relationships with clients
1. If you're in M&A, the pace is more comfortable
2. You get feedback from your client (especially at an assoc/senior level) which is more satisfying than feedback from a partner/director/manager
3. Your network expands beyond the firm
4. Rack up the miles and points for your next vacation
5. Real world experience leads to better exit options
Anyone hiring for implementation positions?
What is this wlb people are talking about on implementation projects? 🤔
It’s not always because you can have bad leadership that promises but I’m at 20 hours a week currently. Won’t be like that all the time but rn it’s great
