More and more I’m considering working with my hands versus my digital trade for creative work. The fear of AI taking over almost every white collar/knowledge work space is hitting me hard. Has anyone had an experience pivoting from being a computer digital design worker to doing more hands-on craft work? Any thoughts on industries with promise, advice or tips?

I’m working at an insurance defense firm, trying to target my practice to L&E. I’m overworked and underpaid, but gaining valuable experience I hope to pivot toward an eventual in-house counsel position. I recently was offered an opportunity to lateral to a national firm for a significant pay increase (150% salary increase, much better benefits, hybrid WFH options). Problem-I would be shifting gears to Toxic Tort. I’m torn between my passion and the money. I’m a second year associate. WWYD?

So I’m engaged in an interview process for a top FinTech company. It started the 1st week of August and just now I’ve gotten word from my recruiter that they didn’t update on any decisions made. I had my 3rd & final interview last Friday. My recruiter doesn’t communicate well nor does she let me communicate with the company direct. May I being led on? Am I still in the race for this role in your opinion with the details stated. Please message me if you would like to know more in detail.

Is there an appropriate way to turn down an assignment because it is non-billable? Two of the partners I work for keep asking me to write client bulletins and articles with them, which is great, but now I’m starting to worry about meeting my billable hours requirement.

Is everything getting 800 INR has Internet allowance over your salary? Or does it need any special approval?

What is your total “wedding look” budget/est. spend? (Everything including dress, make up, jewelry, shoes, outfit changes, accessories, etc.). I have put so much emphasis on my looks (no regrets) and I actually just tallied up my spend and my head almost exploded.
