I would say Tim Burton
I am with you . Mine is also Wes Anderson. Although I will say Tim Burton is a very close second. Seems like everyone on this thread feels the same way!
They are definitely famous for a reason! Geniuses at what they do for sure.
I love Wes Anderson and Tim Burton. I don't want to be too mainstream and say Quentin Tarantino but it is what it is. He's talented. Also love Guillermo del Toro.
Hands down Christopher Nolan. He has a unique style that I really enjoy. His movies are always visually stunning and thought-provoking.
My favorite movie director is M. Night Shyamalan. I love his movies because they always have a twist ending that I never see coming. His movies are suspenseful and keep me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
lol i feel like he's always just trying to come out with a wackier twist every time, feels kinda forced imo but it's fun to guess what the twist will be
I don't really have a favorite movie director, but I really enjoy movies directed by Quentin Tarantino, particularly both volumes of Kill Bill.
Hayao Miyazaki is a visionary, I love pretty much everything he has worked on. There's something so otherwordly yet familiar about his characters and settings
I've been told it's a bit pretentious but Stanley Kubrick has made some of my favorite films ever
Surprised no one's mentioned Spike Lee so far, the man's a legend in our community
Kinda old school I suppose but I'm a huge fan of Alfred Hitchcock's work
Tarantino of course, he's entirely leagues above most of the competition save a select few. His work inspired me to pursue a career in this field
i agree with the Wes Anderson pick, he's an excellent example of a director with creative vision and a distinct style
John Singleton for sure
Not to be a weeb or anything, but I just love what Makoto Shinkai and Hayao Miyazaki can make out of the medium of animation. Their works literally feel like my favorite line from Howl's Moving Castle that goes "It all seems so familiar, yet I know I've never been here before."
Mine's Alfred Hitchcock. I always loved rewatching his movies all the time. I study every element. It's just mindblowing!
Tim Burton <3 I love how he creates whimsy with deep messages.
Edgar Wright comes up with the most brilliant ideas for his storytelling. I can never get enough of the producrion value in his films. They all feel so fresh and high quality. Last Night in Soho had such immaculate camera work.
Tarantino!! I have never watched any Tarantino movie that I didn't like. He's good!
Quentin Tarantino is an easy pick for me. Simply marvelous!
I love Jim Jarmusch. check out ‘Stranger than paradise’
