It is better to transition into a role and work a year and go for your MBA than it is to get a masters. A masters isn't really helpful for these types of positions/getting them.
Best way to boost undergrad GPA?
Which program at NYU? Wasn’t aware they had an MS in Finance - I assume this is part time you are looking for?
Part time. They have a global finance MS but also they have an interesting masters in real estate I could do
You better go to front office role at an investment firm instead of back office finance role.
I currently have 4 years of real estate strategy.

Seems like an expensive way to break into finance? Shouldn't it be easy without a masters since you already work at Citi? If money isn't an issue i would say NYU
My thoughts as well. I think OP still has the time and resources. NYU would be the best bet.
Aren't masters in finance mostly for visa purposes and new grads? I would go for an MBA with 4 yoe. That said, Baruch will be significantly cheaper and has the opportunity to get into solid firms. NYU might have a bit of a better name, but idk if that's worth the immense cost
GPA becomes less relevant the more yoe you have. Do you really want to get both MS and MBA? Sounds like a ton of money not to mention opportunity cost. Why not do a simple NPV calc? Or invest that time and money to network into where ever you want to get in. Keep in mind your path is not guaranteed. Conduct some probabilistic NPV and let us know
