My boss had it out for me because I was getting asked to judge award shows and getting press for my personal projects. While they were driving the company into the ground with zero creative vision.

Somehow they still have a job. But pretty much the entire creative team is laid off or offshored. Such a destructive force. Goddamn. I guess that’s why they were hired.

Looks like your boss found your post 😂

Well, at least you have those lucrative judging appointments and personal projects to fall back on. 👊🏼

LPD1 The take away here is that it’s somehow bad/lesser to found a boutique agency? Good to know. Good to know.

Spoken like a true visionary who wins awards for *personal projects* that create no business value while your boss is hustling to drive actual client business, regardless of outcome. Clearly you suffer from BDE with LDR. Look in the mirror to see the real problem.

I have to beg my CDs to judge award shows, or even attend. And personal side projects make every creative more interesting. Don’t let one bad boss dim your light, sis!

Thank you! And yes, we are supposed to do stuff like this. My client was always liking the posts on LinkedIn. And was extremely supportive. It brought us more work, as they could see what else we were capable of doing.

My boss felt threatened by it. And very clearly conveyed that.

They have imploded the entire agency since then. Lost all of their new business wins, which was just work at a financial loss. And they lost most of our legacy clients.

I do not understand how they still have a job.

OP—keep it simple and open your own agency…or bring the clients into mine and just move forward. Vote with your feet…

Hi everyone, I had a major surgery and am looking to find a remote position involving anything that isn’t 100% commission based or cold calling/agent positions. Looking to make $25-35 an hour, and have had long term positions such as Clinical Secretary & Receptionist/Administrator, Accounts Payable Clerk, Team Lead, and Sales Associate. I’m willing to try new things and am a very quick learner, and can handle multitasking and high pace. Does anyone know of any good work from home positions?

Please help. I’ve moved up the ranks pretty quickly at the company I work for to become a Principal SE. My manager thinks the best next step for me is to move into management and leadership and has started pushing me to apply for an engineering manager role. They say that I will be a good fit because of my strong technical background paired with the leadership and people skills I display currently.

I’m torn because I do love being an IC but I’m interested in leadership also. What do I do?

I'm working in the US under H1B, I got a chance to face an interview for another company. My current company started the PERM application also and results will be out within the next 3 months.
