My brother got a job offer at $28/hr with 6 years of general industry experience. New hires with no experience get $25. He’d still need to learn their systems, but he’s a fast learner.

Benefits offered:
• 7 PTO days, 9 sick days
• Free medical, but pays for vision/dental
• PTO increases to 3 weeks after 7 years

I think he should counter with $30/hr and ask for faster PTO accrual.. maybe 3 weeks after 5 years. They also said they’ll do a review after 60 days. Should he just wait? Thoughts?

Program Manager Healthcare Foundation $85,000. Worth it? Or too low?

When I negotiated my comp, all my discussions were around me being a junior and I only accepted my comp for that reason (would not have accepted if I was step above junior since it was low). Negotiations happened with HR, but my offer letter and documents never mention junior (but I have proof from HR saying I am a junior). Looking to understand the salary range for an executive level/managing account director at a large advertising agency.

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? Im currently going through industry change.
Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.
