My CD is pretty MIA 90%+ of the time, but still expects all work to come via them before it can go for review.

While that's pretty standard practice, the constant disappearing act leaves me in a pretty shitty position. I've found myself drastically cutting down my creative time to make sure there is ample time for approval, only for it to be sitting in their inbox for a week + with zero feedback.

I've tried explaining to them the impact this bottle neck is having on me but nothing. Help!

I recommended a candidate for hire to a manager that reports directly to me. This person is a perfect match, but wanted the manager to obviously recommend. It has to be a fit. The manager just told me my recommendation is not her top pick. I feel frustrated because as much as we talk about the position, I wonder if we are mot aligned on criteria. What do I do? I had a call w/ a recruiter and after hearing about the job, I *really* want it. But I’m worried I priced myself out of the role. I sent my resume/portfolio after and haven’t even gotten a reply that she received it, and I’ve followed up. I’ve been getting recruiter messages offering salaries up to 120k for copy/senior copy roles (which surprised me) so I gave 110-120 as a range on the call. She hesitantly said she thought 115 would be OK. But wondering if the salary could be the issue? Thought?
