Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

Im currently working at a Data Center, I’m Currently L3 and I’m wanting to see other options within Google. The problem is, as much as I reach out to Hiring managers and other Googlers in other ladders for information on what they do to get a better idea of other roles, I get no response. What’s a good way of networking to other googlers in other ladders. I feel Data Centers are so looked down upon and so out of touch with the rest of Google

1. Isn’t the HC the one who gives the hire/no hire recommendation (with the the interview feedback serving as an input/data point for consideration)?
2. I’ve been told that going to team match before HC is typically done to shore up any weaknesses in the application (i.e. If someone was on the fence, the fact that a team wants them as is would be a point in their favor)
I think so too about point 1. I asked my recruiter about point 2 and he said having a team aligned has no impact on HC’s decision. And the recruiter has pretty much stopped communicating since 3 weeks now.
I was told by my recruiter that HC is more of a formality; very rare that HC would disagree with the recommendation for your hiring, and at worst your approval is delayed by a few weeks because of budgeting or whatever.
As a former Google, the HC decision is the final step - but there are indeed examples of when HC has overridden a panel’s decision if they feel there is a better candidate out there still
M1 - false. HC has the final go and they have been known to change/alter recommendation.
OP- sounds about right, but odd that you had to go through 10 round for technical program mgmt role.
My application was passed between 3 recruiters coz the first two ended up with better jobs outside Google. I was told by them that my application did go to HC in march 2019 but HC asked for follow up interviews bringing my count to 10. Now the third recruiter says he will take my application to HC again and he went quiet since. Its been 3 plus weeks now. I started interviewing in jan...its almost end of the yr now. Weird experience.
I did HC before team match because there were very few roles open at the time. So if I passed HC my recruiter said I’d be a bigger asset as I’m “ready to hire” once I found a team. As I understand from her, they’re trying to do this more often so that someone fits in with Google for the long haul versus fitting just a single team.
