Hell yeah! you should be abit p'o'ed. But, don't be stupid either... I would just take a look around, if you can get a better paying job. Consider changing or asking for a raise on top of that. The price of gas alone take's that from you. Depending mi. both way's. But, that can be a double edged sword and mis-handled can cut you to pieces. You must think & pray over that! And carefully consider a few thing's:
1) Do you like what you do? 2) Do you like the supervisor/staff you work with? 3) Do you like your schedule? 4) How long you been there ? Think about vac. time built up, etc...I'm 61 yrs. old I ran where the money was bigger, changing job's: warehouse/Industrial-Auto-body painter/Truck Driver. Got tired of the road and again...economy tanked trucking don't pay what it did in my earlier yrs. so, I went back to warehouse work. Now Laid-off, I believe age-discrimination has a big role in why I'm still unemployed since Nov. 2025 and after 4-5 interviews having skill's needed for the job. Not many warehouses in my area. However , I see autobody paying 55K+ Whish I had stayed in that even though it didn't pay back in my earlier day's. What the crap am I gonna do now??? 4 yrs. away from a descent retirement wage. So, do you see a pattern here? I've had a pay cut at alot of my job's in my life. Your best bet is suck it up cupcake & learn a skilled trade: Carpenter, Electrician, Mechanic, etc... If you are happy with the afore mentioned above. There is more dark stuff behind the reasoning of this than you know I will sum it up & stop with this: Their goal is to keep us broke! And 1 more thing I've seen: beat us into submission using our job to control us. do some research on: The Deep State.-Fuck 'Em!
I’d leave

What's your yeas of service to this employer and whats your employment cycle?
Don't be annoyed. Be practical. Put on a smile, go to work as normal and do your job. While doing that, quietly look for someone who will pay you what you're worth.
Companies don't have to guve raises or bonuses to employees. But at the same time, we don't have to stay with them. People talk. When companies get labeled as stingy and toxic, good employees abandon them and they have trouble recruiting new talent.
