Hi #Urgent
Got the Offer Letter from Citi upon accepting I also received the Background Verification (BGV) mail.
which says I need to provide the relieving letter/experience letter. But the thing is I have not received it (it will take some time). I only have resignation acceptance letter.
Can we still proceed for bgv process and tell Citi that I will provide the relieving letter later on when i get it.
(already passed my LWD: 2nd nov)

Obviously 100% is better, but for FMLA leave you can apply for short term disability. You'll get 60% of your pay while you're out.
If OP is already pregnant and does not have a short-term disability policy, it is very unlikely they’d be covered by one now.
In answer to your question, I would definitely ask before leaving. The worst they can say is no.
Depending on what state you live in, the state may pay some form of leave. In CA, the state pays mat leave at 60-70% I think for 12 or 16 weeks. I think NY pays some too
Definitely worth asking before leaving — you won’t know if you don’t ask.
I negotiated 12 weeks of pay in my second pregnancy under similar circumstances - I basically told them that it would be cheaper to pay me for leave than have me quit and need to hire and train my replacement.
