My dog typically stares at me anywhere from 30-60 min before eating trying to get me to feed him, but if I say ‘hey, you have 45 min or 30 min so you need to relax…’ or whatever he turns around and lays down. He’s done that ever since he was little.

PSA: For single folks who live alone & have 4 legged children - a morbid but logical tip my vet shared was to buy a water dispenser bowl for your pet. Reason is that if you get into a car accident or something happens to you that prevents you from getting home to them, a water dispenser should supply them w several days of water. Dogs can go 5-7 days without food, but will die after 2-3 days without water
