My firm just completed its compensation review and informed us that it had adjusted all salaries to reflect the market. The raise I received amounted to a standard 3%. This sounds a lot like your typical cost-of-living adjustment in fancy corporate language. To put things into perspective, I am a senior associate in a metropolitan setting. What is the “market” they are referring to anyway?

That's literally the COLA adjustment (technically it was 2.8%). My CAS company just gave me a flat 2% so 3% is better than that.

Seriously wonder what goes on here. I swear, it seams they are hiring a new controller every other month here. Are they hard to work for? Is the job that demanding? Just is a little scary to when applying somewhere where it looks like the turn over is so high..

That’s what we all get. Every company I’ve ever worked at going on 16 years it’s always been 3% cola

Hi All,

Kindly help me in resolving the dilemma

MBA with Total YOE - 7+, relevant YOE- 5.3 , Skills - CYBERSECURITY,GRC, Audit.

I have got two offers
1. Genpact - 27 CTC (24 fixed + 10% variable plus gratuity) Manager level
2. Airbus - 23 CTC + 5 L JB
I really wanted to work with Airbus but they are not budging from the offer of 23 even after I told them I have a better offer from Genpact with better position. HR said they will come back..

You think Airbus will come back with better offer?
