My friend works in SaaS and keeps telling me the same three things: deals are slower, buyers want more proof points, and managers are stressed about renewals. He wonders if the whole industry is in a weird mood. I said I would ask here what ppl’s experiences are. Are these things actually true for most SaaS teams? My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. How do I go from SDR/BDR to being a Sales Engineer?

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time.
