My H1B expires on the last day of August and my company still hasn't filed the extension application. According to the lawyers everything is set to file but they're just awaiting confirmation from my employer to go ahead. My question is, if the application is filed at any time before the expiration date, am I safe? (Like even August 29 for example?) Or is there a timeframe (e.g. 2 weeks before expiration date) at which the application needs to go through?

Hello , I have accepted an offer from a UK firm , they mentioned that they will provide coc form to me and then I have to apply for a visa (they will reimburse the visa cost)

Scenario: US visa expired in 2021. Applied for a Canadian tourist visa to hopefully go for H-1B stamping in Canada once they open appointments.
Biometrics completed. Haven’t received any comm regarding my tourist visa approval. My partner already revived the visa long ago even if we allied together. Could it be because my US visa has expired? The reason I gave for applying for visitor visa was just for tourism purposes.
