My husband doesn’t ask how my day was. Now he goes straight to “how many animals puked on you today?” 😂

HAHAHAHA. it's a cruel joke but it's a real and funny joke after all.

My husband asks me how many did the 2 in your presence, I work in a zoo and I always tell him that when I go in the animals are always doing the 2.

My wife tends to ask me about the funny names of the animals, the one she likes the most is Pancho Villa, obviously a chihuahua 😂.

Casually my husband asks me the same thing, how many animals vomited on you today, or how many animals bit you today, or how many bit you today?

I'm a veterinary surgeon and my husband tries not to ask me too much about the patients, I get really bad when we don't have a way to save a pet and I basically fall into a depression :(.

In my house my wife made me a list of how many I have saved and how many cannot be saved, we specialize in caring for animals with semi-terminal diseases, that is, those who tell them that there is nothing to do, we usually help them to improve their chances of life or to make their last days easier.

I'm pretty sure my sister only speaks to me because she likes hearing my weird client stories haha.

I feel like I SHOULD say something to someone though, right? Idk. I’ve been on the job hunt for a while now and am not really having any luck, which is just adding to my despair. What should I do?

Additional Posts in Veterinary Medicine

I’m a very experienced veterinary assistant who has been doing this job for about 4 years in total however because of my skill level I would say I am more of an unlicensed technician. I’m looking for input on what I should ask for a raise. Given the minimum wage, I make about $5 over but that hasn’t really changed to match inflation of living, etc and truly feel like I should be making a decent amount more given my skills. Any helpful advice?
