Have you not received any cost of living increases? For how may years have you been frozen? What is keeping you there? Have you decreased your work production in relation to the percentage of your missing salary raises?
What you are experiencing is not normal.
The freezes are effectively pay cuts.
Why are you staying?
If you can’t find a comparable job, that’s your answer. You are overpaid for the value of your role.
You can change industry, or carry on, your call.
I have found yearly to be normal. Normally small raises as well, but they happen yearly.
3% both times. I asked for a deserved raise and they sort of said "we don't do that much". Long story short, I am now on the lookout for other opportunities.
