Any insights on Strategy or Corp Dev roles at Micron Technology (MU) based in San Jose? Is this a good place for ex-consultants? What’s the culture and compensation like at Director+ levels. Thanks.
Anyone here struggling to get new meetings? A thread for posting what services your company offers and maybe we can help make some connections to get into new accounts.
Hello everyone, appreciate the feedback and your thoughts. My company did not allow work from home, so I took fmla for 12 weeks. Upon returning, my roles have changed to chemical regulatory, vendor commissions and some account management. I am worried about my career, should I stick in chemical sales and look for another job or regulatory is lucrative field. I want to stay near technical field. Is it a boon or a punishment?
Looking for feedback: In a leadership position with responsibility to direct sales strategies and enablement for a product category. My issue is that my new boss, who micromanages my every move, gave me a slap on the wrist for “breaking chain of command” to speak with my VP. Someone I already have a relationship/rapport with trying to get honest feedback on an initiative. Any suggestions on handling corporate politics with my boss? Previous boss allowed me to speak freely with all leaders.
Anyone willing to share their sales leadership incentives based on team goals? What’s the norm here?
Has anyone seen or discussed this Petition for SHRM must support Black Lives Matter & the LGBTQ community? I’ve grown increasingly concerned and disappointed in SHRM’s lack of vocal support for employment protections for LGBTQ+ and black and brown workers, especially as a black woman in HR. It seems like SHRM is overly focused on what is absolutely “legal” and not what is right. I’m of the opinion HR professionals must not only be “legal” but have a relevant and compassionate stance
Will Workday be more or less relevant to you in a few years? My org is looking at adopting Workday for HR and some FP&A purposes. We try to be a forward looking org and only adopt things that will be relevant a few years down the road. We've heard mixed things about Workday and I just want to hear from those that use it what you think. Will it be more or less relevant to your org a few years from now?
I’ve been struggling on whether or not I should talk to my boss about one of my assignments. I am an entry level HR analyst with one year of professional experience and she has tasked me with leading a strategic agency-wide project. This entails procuring a consultant, directing work of our senior analysts, leading a cross functional team to implement the project, point person, managing project timeline and deliverables, updating our policies and procedures to integrate the project, etc. To me, this is senior level work and should be done by the more senior analysts who have experience in this area. I understand it can be a great learning opportunity but feeling nervous. Thoughts?
What HR ticketing system do you use and what important aspects did you consider when looking? Our company is looking into ticketing systems and this will be our first time looking. Right now I’ve seen Zendesk, Workday and Happy Fox. Has anyone sued those before?

Do any managers do more than just manage and lead the team? Currently I manage the team, manage accounting, handle HR, handle marketing such as documents and emails, provide all of the technical support, and sell. My boss still works from home and only looks at the phone report to check the productivity. They refuse to look at my reports or complete activity logs. Because I have 4 hours of no phone activity daily, my boss believes I am not working hard enough. Cont.
Do recommendations on LinkedIn provide any value to potential employers? Do recruiters look at them? What do recruiters look at on a LinkedIn profile?
I need to approach a manager who has received several comments that there is perceived favoritism. They have a team of hard, strong workers who have been with the company for years. A great new employee was hired several months ago with a strong technical skillset. The manager constantly praises this employee in front of the rest of their team, and consistently says comments like, "(New employee)" is the best person EVER to do this task!" making colleagues feel like their previous work in successfully getting that task done for years is unvalued. Any advice for how you would approach the manager, or how you would advise the employees who are submitting complaints?

When the interviewer says at the end of an interview “it’s exciting to think you could be a part of our team”, is that a good sign? I haven’t had that many interviews so not sure if it’s common or not!
Seeing a lot of people ask if they need to bump their GMAT score up from like 720 to 760 - NO! It is one part of the application (tick box IMO once you hit 700). Further study is an opportunity cost of writing great essays. Work out your unique selling points with lots of great examples. Do the essays then when you think it’s perfect, leave for 2-3 weeks and reread like you don’t know you - guarantee you’ll redo. KPMG Risk Analytics, NYC, Manager and Sr. Manager salary bands? What is bonus %? Specifically risk analytics valuation but general RA would be helpful. Thanks!
Are there any pretax investments that I can leverage beyond the $18k limit on a 401k, $3.4k on an HSA, and $5.5k in a Roth IRA? NYC has some minor transit ones, but I can't think of much else.
Come from a no money family & limited financial savvy. What’s an easy way to open and manage a personal investment fund so my savings makes me more money, similar to my Roth 401k. Thanks in advance!

Interview tips? I think I’m very strong on paper and I keep making it to final rounds of interviews and getting rejected. I know I tend to ramble when talking about my experience. Otherwise, trying to pinpoint the reason I keep getting through rounds and rounds of interviews and ultimately no offer
