So I recently asked for an higher salary, which I have been given. My role and responsibilities are the same. I effectively received the agreed amount of money on my latest salary slip but I didn't sign any "new" contract. Is this normal? How does this work? This is my first salary bump and I don't really know how is it supposed to happen.

It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. Would you lateral from B4 into McKinsey as EM or take an industry offer that is $50k more in TC (thank MCK offer) and better wlb? The biggest push against taking the industry offer is that I’m not sure that i am super passionate about the industry or want to commit to that industry for the longer term. I have an offer with IBM in hand for 18lpa fixed+2.5lpa variable and I cleared all rounds with Cognizant. I had HR discussion in Cognizant and the max they can provide 23lpa including 70k as variable, but this requires approvals.
YoE: 7 years
Stack: SAP Central Finance, SLT and FICO
The problem is Cognizant is offering full length SLT role which is my secondary skill but IBM is offering me on the primary skill.
Considering huge difference in the package is it suggested to join Cognizant?

I have been approached with an opportunity at JP Morgan Chase for their private client advisor role. The book is about 30M all in. I am currently an experienced hybrid asset manager wholesaler and have experience in advising as well. Curious about the opportunity with JPM and if it’s worth it. I currently make about 160k and if JPM would give me a high draw for the first 3 years to build, and if it’s feasible to sustain that 160+ there.

Is being blacklisted the worst thing that can happen if you renege?
