My next goal is to own a Rolex Batman. However, I have never bought a Rolex before and don’t have any relationships with ADs. Can someone help to explain the process of purchasing one new? (Eg, what to do, how long it will take, what’s the price)

Buy one grey

Side note: I already have a bb58 and a JLC ultra thin moon. To me, the Batman seems like a good next step, but would love to hear other recommendations (I’m still leaning toward Rolex)

I take it the stores you bought the BB58 and JLC don’t also sell Rolex. If they do just go back to that sales associate.
Otherwise trying to get a Batman from an AD is going to be really tough without buying other watches or jewelry first.
I was really lucky and got a Batgirl without purchase history but I think it was extreme rarity and was because I work in aviation and was celebrating the birth of a child. I waited a year before getting the call.
You would need a big life event like getting married or having a kid to potentially have a chance.

You won’t get one at an AD without buying other things. I’ve been waiting 2 years after buying a Tudor and some jewelry from mine. About to go grey

Honestly, buying one grey market is probably your best move. You don't have to wait forever to get it and you don't have to play the utterly ridiculous games Rolex ADs make you play.

Yeah there’s a good chance if you go to an AD with a Batman as your first request you’ll either wait a very long time or potentially not get one at all because you have no purchase history. If the latter, unfortunately you won’t really know you’re in that boat until you’ve already waited a few years without getting the call. GMTs are pretty sought after so are tough to get from an AD without any purchase history.

Flight to Hong Kong and gray market there. ✅ not having to deal with any AD nonsense is all worth it

Is this a thing? They’re easier to get on the gray market there ?

Any tips for how to maximize property damage insurance claim?

I'm 1st time landlord and my single tenant in Seattle unfortunately overdosed on cocaine+pills 5 days before found in kitchen. :( Extensive damage.

Seeking tips - ex. contractor validating damage was on highest cost cabinets & flooring, replace all tile/grout, contractors upbid damage value (within reason).

Too many are advising being bold w insurance companies we all pay for most our lives, but open to all advice.

Finally got my hands on one. I was expecting it to feel much cheaper than it does. Definitely still get the quality feel that Swatch is known for. The weight is nothing like a real speedy, but still looks great imo. I went with the Mission to Pluto as I didn’t want one that looks too much like the real thing, and the Mars/Sun versions had the gauche white strap imo. Overall pleased for $260.

Has anyone seen Omega’s new Seamaster? Thoughts? I mean the only thing that’s stopped me from going 20,000 ft underwater is the right watch…unfortunately at 45.5mm in diameter and 56mm lug to lug, it’s too big for my small wrists. Oh well, guess I won’t be going underwater. Just kidding haha - I think it’s cool and I do like that they ditched the HEV

30th birthday present watch accessory ideas.

A lot of knowledge on here so asking for some help. It’s my partner’s birthday and I’ve no idea what to buy him. He’s a watch fanatic - Pateks (sports and dress), Audemars (sports and dress), Rolex (sports), Omega (sports).

I’m obviously not buying him a watch for his birthday (in his dreams!) but any idea for some good accessories? He’s already got a PP watch winder, and has bought multiple nice straps for the dress watches. I’m completely lost.
