AT:
-definitely dressier with the polished center links. But still very much a one-watch that can be dressed up and down easily
-different dial variations (ie, small seconds) and case sizes
-similar movement as the SMP 300m
-Comfier bracelet than the SMP and looks great on leather straps too
SMP:
-sportier, more water resistance
-cool colorways like the white dial with black bezel
-tie in with James Bond. It’s an icon whether you like it or not.
-expandable clasp
-looks great on rubber strap too
I think you technically get a bit more watch for the price with the SMP, but if I were to only pick one watch I’d get an AT. It’s just easy to go up and down and still can go swimming with it

Have that same piece M1.. and that pic makes me watch to switch from bracelet to rubber strap

AT is a great all around option but I always found it boring. SMP 300 is an icon - not everyone likes it, but it definitely stands out.

The 300 is a sportier watch with a neat dial, while I think the aqua terra is a better all rounder that’s easier to dress up/down.
I found the skelotonized hands on the 300m made it harder to read, particularly in combination with the wave pattern on the dial, so I sold mine

Haha yup! My seniors kept talking about the app so I finally caved in. Still trying to figure it out lol
Personally I like having the bezel as I didn’t own a dive watch prior to this, so I went for the SMP300. I don’t find the skeleton hands hard to read at all as someone else said in here. I’ve tried on the ATs multiple times and to be the 300s just speak to me more, OH I AM JUST NOW REMEMBERING the 300s have the quick adjust clasp and for that reason alone 300 >> AT. The quick adjust on these is the best on the market, Rolex included.
But if you’re gonna go for a rubber strap, I think the ATs do those better. You also get a slightly different movement on the large version of the AT, which gives you a “jumping”/quick set hour hand, so you can change time zones without stopping the seconds hand. None of the SMP300 have this unfortunately, and it is something I wish I had. Although not more than the quick adjust clasp
