Depends on where you are. Many states do not require an attorney and those activities are performed by the title company and realtor. 1 get home inspection, 2 tell lender you have an accepted offer and get them started on their process. 3 contact insurance company and get a quote and get them ready to provide insurance at closing.
If your agent is guiding you on this, hooking you up with inspectors and attorneys, then they are not worth the gagillion dollars they get for showing you something you've probably already told them you want...
I wouldn't personally get one. Your RE agent should be acting in your interest. If you don't trust them, then that's another issue.
Get a home inspection and a closing attorney.
Do i need an closing attorney if i have an agent?
Your agent should be guiding you along with your loan officer. Make sure loan officer has their things met
Your realtor should be guiding you!
Realtor says clothing attorney is not required since the realtor is guiding me through the process. What do you say?
