My old boss contacted me about an opportunity at her current company. It’s a big FinTech company and the role would be brand new and not a backfill.

Basically her boss and her boss’s boss all approved the job requisition she submitted and now it is sitting with Finance.

How long does finance approval of a job requisition on average take and what is the process? She said she also has 3 other positions in the same status waiting for approval within her team as well (the company is doing well).

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I joined my company as a BI- Analyst and now they are teaching us SAP HANA (DATA MIGRATION). Is it good start for a fresher??

I’ve worked at places that all have different holiday policies. EA has at minimum a nice 10 day shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Years. It’s great to know that there will be no slack messages or an exploded inbox to come back to while away. I’ve been at other studios that only give you Christmas Eve & Day and New Years Eve & Day and then the rest is up to you to request for PTO and this is obviously the suck.
