It's probably best to be honest with the recruiter. Plus, if you're dealing with a recruiter from a large agency, they're supposed to be working for you and finding you opportunities. No point in being off on your own competing with their efforts.
Assuming it's a third-party recruiter, not in-house, you should just be honest with them. It's always better to be on the same page, even if you're not thrilled with the page you're on.
Conversation Starter
I would be honest but strategic. I usually say I am in conversations and keeping options open, without specifics. Recruiters ask for leverage, not judgment. Zero interviews is not a red flag, oversharing is.
