My role was eliminated back in July, so I'm basically camped out on LinkedIn now - applying to anything that makes sense and hitting up hiring managers and recruiters. I'm barely hearing back from anyone. It seems to be way tougher than when I job searched in 2019. Anyone actually having luck out there?

Too early to say if I’m having luck yet. Do have some interviews lined up for next week, and I’m feeling good about them. It is a much different time now than in 2019!

I've just started tentatively looking within the past few weeks. It's not been an encouraging experience. Salaries seem low and the few decent paying jobs I've seen have all get tons of applications within hours of being posted. I'll keep browsing when I've got the time, but I'm not anticipating finding anything before the end of the year.

I am also an SDR / BDR and my role was eliminated 3 months ago. It's been very tough. I have had a lot of interviews...some where I fit the experience and education and still nothing. Got told another no today :/

Just scams and low paying gigs that I’ve seen so far.
I’ve been doing pet sitting and elderly care to get by.

Career dev advice needed. Being offered a promotion (would be reporting to my current skip and managing/growing a team). The role is global subsidiary management/governance. But the work does not appeal to me, I’ve been doing some of it and it’s so much admin and people management. I’m not practicing law at all. Love my current IC role and manager, get to work on strategic transactions and closer to the business. If my goal is head of corp legal one day, should I suck it up and go for it? Thnx!

Stopping in Philly for one night...what's the best area to stay in? Would love to be walkable to a few good brewpubs, craft beer bars or breweries, esp. those with outdoor areas/beer gardens and in an area that's less urban and more residential ideally w. historic row houses. TY!

How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.
