How do you all manage new job and overcoming the fear of losing comfort ness.
I’m a first time company switcher . Been with current org for 11 years now, know in and out of the systems I’m working and it will keep me occupied even for next 3-4 years however the economy or market is going to be. Pay is decent, maybe slightly less compared to market standards. But happen to see many colleagues/ friends are switching companies and cracking the interviews and showcasing their knowledge level (cont..)

What's your travel today? Mine is DFW -> ORD, AA

Can I let a rep know they're overkill? This person is very sweet, but annoying. Like 1-2x a wk.I want to gently tell her to back off. Has anyone done this gracefully? Because I feel slightly violent.

Trying for another but just had 2nd miscarriage. Found out at work. Could barely talk. It's the worst thing ever. It's better now but don't know if we can keep trying. Hard to be thankful of anything😔

100% of the reason I stay in this awful job is to ensure my kids don’t have to do anything like this

That being the case, I don’t want to over-commit to the grind and miss important developmental time with them

What are the most important years for me to focus on being present? I.e. if kid’s in high school and activities, it really doesn’t matter if I work 10 hour days because he won’t be home anyways

Zoom Interview - virtual background or home background? I'm leaning towards sprucing up and having my apartment background without any blurring or virtual (live alone); I feel that it conveys a more genuine/connected vibe.

Was planning on going to grad school in September (just received several acceptances). COVID is making me nervous. I don’t want to pay 💰 to do virtual classes. What’s the best way to think through?
