A refreshing palate cleanser in between the usual, until you’re on the 8th round and the client says his wife came up with a great one
I worked on naming projects for a bit at a previous agency. Super fun when the product is cool. Tedious as hell when it’s, like, a new widget that securely uploads your B2B SAAS user data to the cloud or whatever
Can you rephrase the question? I only respond to posts that end with, "Annnnnnnnd go."
Generally I hate 'em. But I did actually name a roller coaster once. Still haven't ridden it though.
Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's Berry Farm, a roller coaster where every car spins independently. The whole creative dept. submitted dozens of names, and mine was the one they chose. That was like 15 years ago, I suppose I should go ride it already!
They’re fine and fun until round 20
I love it! Until the account person throws in a terrible one & the client ends up picking that one. 🤦♀️
I used to love it but the more I get asked to name things, the more I feel like I’m drawing from the same well. And usually my best naming ideas are for things that already have names.
Client: We want something like ‘Nike”
Agency: Got it. How about this really inventive, catchy name that we have a whole justification around AND it passed legal?
Client: Is Nike taken though
I love working on them and all my concepts but they’re so subjective that my favorites hardly land
And love “ ‘em” or hate it... in regular, fun social media speak? Lol
